Update: Church building is open! Welcome

Hello South Church family, friends and guests. As most of you are aware our state is opening back up! Please see the letter from our church president below for the new protocols going forward. If you have any questions we invite you to contact the church office via email or phone.

Glad to be back! All are welcome we can’t wait to see you. Thank you and God Bless.

Dear South Church Family,

I am excited to announce that in accordance with recent guidance from the CDC and State of Connecticut we are reopening the church campus! Our underlying approach is to follow this guidance with consideration for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for youth and others who may not yet be vaccinated.

Our office and building will now be open for visitors and meetings. We have returned to in person worship currently at 9 a.m. and we invite children to join us for church school. You are no longer required to pre-register for in person worship.

Virtual worship continues online at 10:30 for those unable to attend in person. Our Ministers and Worship Teams are working diligently to offer a combined in person and virtual worship experience. Please be patient with us as we work through this transition. We will communicate frequently as things evolve.

Here are the guidelines for entering the building which were approved by the church council:

 • Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals
 • Masks are required for all individuals in common areas or when engaging with children

We encourage everyone to consider your neighbor by practicing hand hygiene and distance when appropriate and remaining home if you are not feeling well.

We are so grateful for our ministers, staff and lay leaders who supported us during this difficult time, and to you the congregation for continuing to be present in unique ways in support of our church and each other.

We hope to see you on Sunday!

Yours in faith,

Kirk Paluska, Church President
