Our sanctuary organ is a Schlicker (1973) custom-built, two manual and pedal “unit” instrument. It has 8 ranks and 499 pipes, most of which are enclosed in a swell box. It sits in the choir loft above the congregation and ably accompanies the choirs, as well as leads congregational singing each Sunday at the 10:30 am worship service.
South Church proudly owns a first-rate, Mason & Hamlin grand piano that is located in the front of the Meetinghouse and is used each Sunday at the 8:30 am worship service. Our outstanding, first-service pianist is Jim Mirakian, who infuses a powerful spiritual component into each service.
In addition, there is a fine, Kawaii baby grand piano in our Social Hall that was donated in memory of long-time member and musician, Rosalie Gay.
