The church recently undertook a journey to enhance its physical structure through a capital campaign raising $3.7 million. Construction of a new 15,000 square foot social hall, office complex, and education wing was finished in fall, 2011. We celebrated paying off the mortgage in January, 2013. This building, which made our campus fully handicap accessible, speaks to the church’s open and welcoming ideology and our belief that the building is an integral part of the community ministry of dialogue, personal enrichment, and support. We currently offer space for Boy Scouts, Alcoholics and Overeaters Anonymous, South Church Preschool, community organizations, and several adult education classes. The High Street School enhances our potential for community-based mission; the enlarged church building fosters growth in our discipleship education ministry and open considerable space and opportunity for enhanced mission based activities.
